Calc XLS Spreadsheet App Reviews

If you know EXCEL, it is intuitive. Understands EXCEL sheets. Unfortunately the IF function is different from EXCLEs even though it has the same name! ( maybe this is also true with other EXCEL functions, I only found it with IF so far...) Iteration works fine! All in all, I recommend!

Crash, freeze, crash, freeze...never ends! 2 hours of frustration for 6 bucks.

CRASHES!!!!!! Every time I try to make a formula it crashes!!!!!! GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fix your crap!!!!!! Waste of money!!!!!!!!

This spreadsheet program is pretty powerful and easy to use. Certainly well worth the $1 I paid for it. My 5 star rating is based on what it does for what it cost. I found it to be stable on my IPad 3rd gen. Entering formulas and formatting was easy. I consider myself to be an Excel power user - this obviously isnt Excel but it is pretty darn good as a handy iPad spreadsheet tool considering its low price. I have not yet attempted to import any of my spreadsheets from Excel into it yet so cant comment on that feature yet. I had no problem emailing it out.

Great app but stopped being able to rename and save files since loading new OS system. Needs a major fix

It was usable and pretty good for the price. Slower to use than Excel certainly, but when you are working on an iPad instead of a laptop, to be expected. Bit since I updated to iOS 7, it is not usable. Cant make new files. Cant make new folders. Scrolling problem. Cant rename files. How long before this is fixed??

I made the mistake of purchasing this garbage software. Do not make the same mistake. You cant even create new files. Garbage, garbage, garbage.

By far, best spreadsheet app for iPad. Each update gets better. When used with Dropbox, it makes transferring files in and out of Calc.xls a breeze. Cant say enough about this app. Solid!!

Doesnt list in Apples "Open in" menu. Cant browse the Dropbox folder. Chained to its own folder in "app" directory of Dropbox. In a word, "useless". Who cares about great features if you cant get to your files

No password And is in urgent need of upgrade for IOS 10.

Unfortunately, I no longer trust this app anymore. I have caught it deleting entire rows when e-mailing spreadsheets, or opening them up in other apps. I believe the data keeps, as long as youre within this app, but try to transfer it and it fails to do so faithfully. Disappointed.

Last update, iOS 10, row/column numbers, letters no longer display correctly!! Needs to be fixed!!

After loading IOS, all row and column references are gone. References to a cell still work, if you can figure out where it is.

Talk about a waste of $5. This has to be the worst app Ive purchased. It crashes after every other input to a worksheet. It hangs whilst trying to save..... etc etc. Its awful.

I usually love Mariner software, they have a lot of mac-friend apps that have been great in the past, but recently their apps for mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) have been total and complete garbage. This is sadly not worth the 5$. I needed a spreadsheet app for ONE project and did not want to bother buying the full version for my laptop (60$), and had this worked AT ALL it would have been fine for my 1 project. Sadly, the only thing this app did was crash and loose my information. I would literally get maybe 1 line of information in, and if I changed the format of the cells, or the outline on the cells, or anything it would simply crash. When I rebooted I would find the file was there, but all of my information and style changes would be gone. This happened repeatedly until I just gave up.

Bought Calc lite upgrade but did not find it useful. Bought Mariner Calc and found it the same as the upgrade. So I was charged twice for the same software from the same company. I question Mariners ethics. Stay away

Not as easy as Im used to. It was crashing every time I used the "Function" button. Hopefully, a fix is coming.

This was one of the first apps I bought because nearly all of my spreadsheets on my Mac are Calc files. But there is no efficient way to open those files on the ipad and keep them synced up. Until I can do that, this app is pretty useless to me. I have gone towards using google docs instead. BTW, I am having the same problem with Mariner Write files and have went back to .doc files for the first time in years.

I am a pro Excel spreadsheet user and I was so delighted to find an iPad version of a spreadsheet that I could use. So many of the basic functions are supported here, and it is fairly quick to intuitively learn and begin to use well. Im pleased with this purchase.

The look and the way it work is great, and easy to operate. I do pick this on over Doc To Go and Quick Office.
