Wastge of money - does not recognize formatting and protection of Excel documents.

Product worked as described. Im making good use of it for sales logs on the go.

Had a hard time at first. A lot of my basic settings (I.e. # of decimal places) were unknowingly reset causing a lot of zero values. Spent some time sitting in a waiting room & was able to figure things out. More time I spend with it the more potential I find. Now we are able to do a lot more structural calcs in the field. Only real dislike for now; when I click on a cell to change a value, I have to manually delete whats in it before entering new. As compared to just clicking & entering the new data. It adds a lot of key strokes. Ask me again in a month.

Worked great until it stopped with new OS. Very frustrating!!!

Cant scroll large sheets on iPad since iOS7 update. Used to be able to drag the sheet around, now nothing works to scroll. Dropbox sync hasnt worked in a long time. Highlighted cells arbitrarily wont highlight. You can still edit the highlighted cell, its just difficult to tell which cell is selected. Must use the row/col index since the selected cell does not outline. It goes out for a couple days then comes back for a couple. Really weird. App is slowly becoming unusable.

Since update the app does not work the same - major scrolling issues (you can no longer input functions as you can not scroll down once inputting data - major problem!!) Can we please get an update on app to correct this?!?!? (& quickly please, I use this for my budget, I loved app enough to buy full version but now it does not work correctly)

Worked fine before iOS 7. Now cant scroll large spreadsheet. What kind of responsible developer does not test under new OS. Fix this and I will go back to my previous 5* rating.

This thing is worse than annoying or frustrating- its dangerous. It updated without prompting with iOS7, replacing the clunky but familiar Calc Lite. It cannot find my old spreadsheets now, and I NEEDED them. Meanwhile, the "new, improved " version doesnt work- just try saving something with a different name, or re-naming, or scrolling, or- well, you get the picture.

Im giving two stars for finally doing an update. However it still did not correct the scrolling issue. At least I was finally able to rename my worksheets. More work to do guys.

Now works with ios7. Great app.

Please fix the scrolling issue already! My entire budget for my household is managed on this app...please fix!

Half a decade after xlsx became the standard excel format and they still dont open them? Pretty limited usefulness right there.

Ive retired my iPaq that I used mainly with a simple spreadsheet for a shopping list - I could sort it for choosing items I need at home, resort it for just the things I need in aisle order at the store. I does that fine. It would be nice if cursor keys would scroll the spreadsheet instead of moving the selected cell off screen.

Ive taken a leap and decided to do as close to if not all of my financial activity on my iPhone. This app in particular along with a check register app have made it possible for me to do so. I am more than satisfied with this app. Its easy to use, easy to understand and, at least for me, has become an essential component of how I manage and document my financials. I highly recommend it. Get it even if you dont think youll use it. Once you experiment with it, youll find a good use for it. Youll be glad you have it.

Calc XLS is now my go to spreadsheet app. I have so many apps from mariner on my laptop and for iOS, and for the most part I have had great experiences with everything Mariner flavored (oceany maybe?). Calc XLS is their shining star in my opinion, Macjournal is a close second for me though. Thanks for the broad support base. Im still using my iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1 offline most of the time because its not safe, but on my local network Im not too worried. Calc XLS works great in iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 also. Its good to see a few developers out there who are looking past the latest version of iOS. Image if every developer dropped support for previous desktop OS with every update. If windows 8 was released and all developers just stopped supporting windows 7,.. I feel like some kind of tron 2 meme goes here. There would be riots in the streets, why is it ok for iOS? Shutters. /end rant Anyway this app has come a long way. I deleted Office2 HD and QuickOffice after the latest Calc XLS update was released. I say if you need a serious spreadsheet app and dont want to pay for a subscription fee, or use a dead app acquired by some massive company only to smother the app with lack of updates (quickoffice and office2 cough), look no further.

When an update was released the program had to be repurchased to complete the update.

I have a five year old Mac desktop with Excel. When I import to the iPad a spreadsheet created on the Mac, it wont even open it let alone edit. I tried creating a file on the iPad and downloading it to the Mac. I could edit it on the Mac but when I brought it back to the iPad, it still wouldnt open.

I am sure this app works great, but its seriously confusing trying up figure it out. Not user friendly. Needs an engineering degree to figure out.

Havent tried any of the higher functions yet, but this works great as a basic spreadsheet on my ipad. Very easy to use. I am an accountant who has 25 years of spreadsheet experience.

I have to give this one star, sadly, as the app looked promising. But, after connecting it to my Dropbox account, it was not able to find my Excel file to open it. I even saved it in two different formats, to no avail. I even mailed the file to myself and tried to open the attachment, but this app was not even a choice to use to open my file. Without being able to import my file, Im unable to use this app as intended.
